Why do we focus on prayer? Scripture says to “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” (Romans 12:12) There are many scripture passages that stress the importance of prayer. Prayer is the building block to our relationship with Christ.
How can we say we know Christ if we don’t spend time with him?
📣Today’s challenge: Pray quietly for 30 minutes.
I continue to pray for our church and community as we enter another week of isolation and safety while trying to lower the curve and eradicate COVID-19. I wanted to let you know of some offerings and updates to keep us engaged as the church this week:

Giving Your offerings to Love’s UMC are crucial during this time that we are unable to meet together in person on Sundays. Please continue to give by mailing in your offering: PO Box 8, Walkertown, NC 27051 or going online through our website and clicking on the “Give Online” button: http://lovesumcwalkertown.org/ Thank you for your generosity, flexibility and patience! The Staff/Parish Committee decided that while we are away from the church the secretary/treasurer, Brenda, will only be in the office on Thursdays for 8 hours.
Stay safe! Wash your hands! Have Faith! Pray More!
